Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees holds the strategic direction, governance and stewardship of Doctors in Ministry in trust. Five medical doctors, each with a deep walk with Jesus Christ and a heart for the integration of medicine and ministry, oversee the work and protect the mission.

Dr Mena-Wisdom Ewhrudjakpor

Founder & Chairman

Dr Mena-Wisdom Ewhrudjakpor is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and the founder of Doctors in Ministry. His vision is simple and profound, that the calling to medicine and the calling to ministry are not two separate lives, but one integrated Kingdom assignment, and that the fruit of that assignment belongs to everyone.

He is a passionate believer with a strong and growing walk with Jesus Christ. His faith journey has included serving as President of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship, University of Ilorin, General Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Corpers' Fellowship, Lagos State, and currently leading the Koinonia UK Medical Team under the spiritual leadership of Apostle Joshua Selman.

He is also a graduate of the Koinonia School of Ministry. Through Doctors in Ministry, podcast, mentorship, missions and media, he is building a global movement that opens the wisdom of medicine to the world.

A sought-after speaker who has addressed audiences at the UK House of Parliament, the Financial Times Headquarters and BBC London, Dr Mena-Wisdom E. brings together clinical authority, spiritual conviction and a deep commitment to raising people of purpose.

Dr Kehinde Adewale Adebisi

Vice Chairman

Dr Kehinde Adewale Adebisi is a board-certified Paediatrician and Neonatologist, academic physician, and medical educator currently practising in the United States. With over 15 years of medical experience spanning clinical practice, research, teaching, and leadership, he is deeply committed to advancing child health, medical excellence, and Kingdom impact through medicine and ministry.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, in 2011, completed his internship at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, and worked as an Emergency Medical Officer at the Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti. Driven by a passion for child health, he later relocated to the United States, where he completed his residency training in the Columbia University Pediatrics Program at Harlem Hospital Center, New York, in June 2020. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.

His academic contributions include multiple research posters presented at scientific meetings in New York and a peer-reviewed publication titled "Readability Assessment of Internet-based Patient Education Materials on Anticoagulation Therapy." He is also a recipient of the Patient Safety Recognition Award at Harlem Hospital Center for his commitment to quality care and patient safety.

Dr Adebisi serves as Vice Chairman of Doctors in Ministry on the Board of Trustees, and as Dean of the Doctors in Ministry School of Mentorship, where he supports academic delivery, faculty oversight, and the development of purpose-driven leaders. His leadership journey began at the University of Ilorin where he served as General Secretary of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship, and he remains passionate about mentoring young professionals and communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity, wisdom, and compassion.

Dr Chukwufumnanya Chidera Aligbe

Treasurer

Dr Chidera Aligbe is a medical doctor and Internal Medicine Trainee based in the United Kingdom, with a special interest in Acute and General Internal Medicine. Having obtained her MD degree and spent the greater part of her professional journey within postgraduate medical training across Greater Manchester, she is deeply passionate about delivering excellent, compassionate, and patient-centred care through the practice of medicine.

Alongside a demanding medical career, she is actively involved in ministry and Kingdom service. She serves within the Koinonia Medical Team and partners with several ministries across the United Kingdom and Nigeria, contributing to initiatives focused on spiritual growth, outreach, leadership development, education, and community impact.

Dr Aligbe also serves as the Director of Mentorship and Student Affairs at the Doctors in Ministry School of Mentorship, where she provides leadership in student engagement, mentorship development, welfare, and pastoral support, helping to shape and nurture the next generation of purpose-driven leaders.

Beyond medicine and ministry, she is passionate about beauty, entrepreneurship, and personal development, having successfully established and managed a hair and beauty business over several years. She is committed to continuous growth, excellence, and service, with a vision to influence lives both within and beyond the medical profession.

She is happily married to Mr Ifeanyi Nwabekwu, and together they are devoted to serving the purposes of God and advancing Kingdom impact through faith, leadership, and service.

Dr Ahizechukwu Chizubiem Eke

Independent Trustee

Dr Ahizechukwu Eke is an Associate Professor and Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine Research in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, and completed residencies in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Michigan State University. Dr Eke also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University and completed a dual fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at Johns Hopkins, where he earned a PhD in Clinical Investigation and Clinical Pharmacology. He is triple board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Clinical Pharmacology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

He serves in several leadership roles, including Chair of ACOG Maryland, member of the ACOG National Clinical Guidelines Committee, and editorial board member for Obstetrics & Gynecology (the Green Journal) and NEJM Evidence. He also contributes to national and international committees such as the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's (NASEM) committee on research issues for pregnant and lactating persons. Dr Eke has over 150 PubMed-cited peer-reviewed publications and has received multiple teaching and research awards.

He currently leads the Koinonia US Medical Team under the spiritual leadership of Apostle Joshua Selman, overseeing a team of volunteers who contribute to the health and safety of large conferences. He is happily married to Dr Uzoamaka Eke, also a physician, and they are blessed with three daughters.

Dr Worship Tega Ewhrudjakpor

Independent Trustee

Dr Worship Tega Ewhrudjakpor is a medical doctor with over eight years of clinical experience, currently practising within the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. She is dedicated to the practice of medicine with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, empathy, integrity, and holistic patient care, consistently striving to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.

A lover of Jesus, she is devoted to advancing the Gospel and impacting lives through both ministry and service. She carries a strong passion for the growth, development, and holistic wellbeing of children and young people, with a desire to help individuals discover purpose, build character, and fulfil their God-given potential.

Her leadership journey began during medical school, where she served as President of the Rhema Chapel Christian Fellowship and as Female Preclinical Coordinator of the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) Students' Arm, University of Ilorin Chapter. These formative leadership roles helped shape her enduring passion for Christian leadership, mentorship, discipleship, and Kingdom service.

She currently serves as Safeguarding Lead within Doctors in Ministry, where she provides oversight and guidance in fostering a safe, supportive, and accountable environment for participants, students, families, and ministry activities.

As a member of the organisation's Board of Trustees, she brings together clinical experience, leadership insight, wisdom, and a heart for people in supporting the vision and long-term mission of the ministry.

She is happily married and blessed with two wonderful children, and remains committed to serving God, strengthening lives, and advancing Kingdom impact through ministry, leadership, and service.
